INSECTICIDE

SPRAY-TOX is an effective ready-to-use Pyrethrins Insecticide for application in specialized mechanical, thermal, or compressed air fogging equipment that can be adjusted to deliver a true aerosol mist.

SPRAY-TOX is formulated for use in bakeries, food plants, restaurants, hotels, motels, hospitals, schools, office buildings, warehouses, dairies, milk rooms, horse barns, meat packing plants, boats, flour mills, food processing & handling plants, food storage warehouses and other listed sites.

FIRST AID

If Swallowed:

         Immediately call a poison control center or doctor.

         Do not induce vomiting unless told to do so by a poison control center or doctor

         Do not give any liquid to the person.

         Do not give anything by mouth to an unconscious person

If in eyes:

         Hold eye open and rinse slowly and gently with water for 15-20 minutes.

         Remove contact lenses, if present, after the first 5 minutes, then continue rinsing eye.

         Call a poison control center or doctor for further treatment advice.

PRECAUTIONARY STATEMENTS

Hazards To Humans & Domestic Animals

CAUTION: Contains petroleum distillates. Harmful if swallowed.  Causes moderate eye irritation. Avoid contact with eyes or clothing. Prolonged or frequently repeated skin contact may cause allergic reactions in some individuals.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
Mixers, loaders, applicators and other handlers must wear the following:

- Long-sleeve shirt
- Long pants
- Shoes and socks

In addition to the above PPE, applicators using hand held foggers in an enclosed area must wear a half-face, full-face or hood-style NIOSH-approved respirator with:

- A dust/mist filtering cartridge (MSHA/NIOSH approval number prefix TC-21C), or
- A canister approved for pesticides (MSHA/NIOSH approval number prefix TC-14G), or
- A cartridge or canister with any R, P or HE filter.

User Safety Requirements:
Follow manufacturer's instructions for cleaning/maintaining PPE.  If no such instructions for washables exist, use detergent and hot water. Keep and wash PPE separately from other laundry.

Discard clothing and other absorbent material that have been drenched or heavily contaminated with this product.  Do not reuse them.

User Safety Recommendations:

         User should wash hands before eating, drinking, chewing gum, using tobacco or using the toilet.

         User should remove clothing/PPE immediately if pesticide gets inside. Then wash thoroughly and put on clean clothes.

         Users should remove PPE immediately after handling this product.  Wash the outside of the gloves before removing.  As soon as possible, wash thoroughly and change into clean clothing.

Environmental Hazards

[For containers greater than 5 gallons]
Do not discharge effluent containing this product into lakes, streams, ponds, estuaries, oceans or other waters unless in accordance with the requirements of a National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit and the permitting authority has been notified in writing prior to discharge. Do not discharge effluent containing this product to sewer systems without previously notifying the local sewage treatment plant authority. For guidance, contact your State Water Board or Regional Office of the EPA.

Physical and Chemical Hazards

Store containers upright. Do not use or store near heat or open flame. Avoid exposure to extreme temperatures. Do not apply this product in or on electrical equipment due to the possibility of shock hazard.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

It is a violation of Federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.

USE RESTRICTIONS:

> Apply this product only as specified on this label.
> Do not contaminate food or feedstuffs.
> Do not use in aircraft cabins.
> Entry Restrictions:
              o For surface spray, do not enter or allow others to enter until sprays have dried.
              o For space spray, except when applying with an automatic space spray system, do not allow others to enter until vapors, mists and aerosols have dispersed and the treated area has been thoroughly ventilated.
> Except when applying with an automatic space spray system, do not remain in treated area. Exit area immediately and remain outside the treated area until sprays have dispersed.
> Except when applying with an automatic space spray system, do not apply this product in a way that will contact workers or other persons, either directly or through drift. Only protected handlers may be in the treated area during application.
> Remove or cover exposed food (except when applying to postharvest commodities) and drinking water before application.
Remove or cover dishes, utensils, food contact surfaces of food processing equipment and food preparation surfaces or wash them before use.
> For indoor handling/processing facilities: Do not make space spray applications when facility is in operation. Except when applying to post-harvest commodities, prior to space spray applications, cover or remove food. Prior to space spray applications, cover food processing surfaces or clean after treatment and before use. Do not apply more than 1 time per day.
> For automatic space spray systems: Not for use in residential areas. Do not use in nurseries or rooms where infants, ill or aged persons are confined. Except when applying to post-harvest commodities, do not place nozzles directly over or within 8 feet of exposed food, dishes, utensils, food contact surfaces of food processing equipment and food handling or preparation surfaces. Do not install within 3 feet of air vents. Carefully follow directions for the dispenser unit when installing the dispenser and replacing cans or when conducting maintenance.
> For indoor agricultural premises, commercial animal housing and equipment and direct application to non-domestic animals/ livestock: Do not apply more than 1 time per day.
> For indoor misting systems used in barns, stables, and animal quarters: Not for use in outdoor residential misting systems (indoor or outdoor). Do not apply when feed and/or water is present. When using this product, installers and service technicians must comply with the license, certification or registration requirements of the state(s), tribe(s), or local authority(ies) where they are installed. When applying via a remote activation device, do not apply when people and pets are present. If possible, when applying via automatic timer, set the timing for application when people and pets are unlikely to be present. Direct nozzles to spray towards the target area and away from areas where people are typically present. Do not use in an evaporative cooling system. Do not use in misters located within 3 feet of air vents, air conditioner units, or windows. If used in a system with a reservoir tank for the end use dilution, the system reservoir tank must be locked. Securely attach the end use pesticide label to the system reservoir tank in a weather protected area or plastic sleeve. If used in a direct injection system, the pesticide container must be locked. Securely attach the end use label to the pesticide container in a weather protected area or plastic sleeve. This product must only be used in systems that have been calibrated to apply no more than the maximum application rate of 2.9 oz. per 1000 cu. ft. per day.
> When used in dairy barns or facilities: Close milk bulk tank lids to prevent contamination from spray and from dead or falling insects. Remove or cover milking utensils before applications. Wash teats of animals before milking.
> For post-harvest applications to vegetables: Do not reapply within 7 days. Do not apply more than 10 times to sweet potatoes.
> For food stored in bags: Direct application to food contact surfaces is prohibited.
> Remove pets, birds and cover fish aquariums before applying.
> In hospitals, NOT for use in automatic space spray systems. Remove patients from room prior to treatment. Thoroughly ventilate room for at least 2 hours after application. Do not return patient to room until after ventilation.
> Do not wet articles to point of runoff or drip.
> Do not use treated article until spray has dried.
> Dry clean treated clothes before wearing.

This ready-to-use concentrate may be dispersed through mechanical, thermal or compressed air fogging or spraying equipment. If used in food areas of meat, poultry, shell egg grading and egg product plants, this product must be dispersed as an aerosol spray (no droplets over 50 microns in diameter and 80% less than 30 microns).

AUTOMATIC SPACE SPRAY SYSTEMS:
Use in automatic space spray systems to kill exposed accessible stages of: Files(including Fruit Flies), Mosquitoes, Small Flying Moths, Fleas, Gnats, Wasps, Hornets, Clover Mites, Cheese Mites, Cheese Skippers, Boxelder Bugs, Earwigs, Ants and the following common stored product pests: Granary Weevils, Rice Weevils, Confused Flour Beetles, Saw-Toothed Grain Beetles, Spider Beetles, Cigarette Beetles, Drugstore Beetles, Angoumois Grain Moths, Mediterranean Flour Moths, Indian Meal Mouths, Tobacco Moths, Yellow Mealworms, Dark Mealworms, Grain Mites, Cadelles and Red Flour Beetles. Close room and shut off all air conditioning or ventilating equipment. Set system to apply undiluted concentrate at a rate of 0.75 to 1.5 fluid ounce /1000 cu. ft. of space. Close off and vacate treated areas for at least 30 minutes and thoroughly ventilate before reoccupying.

SPACE TREATMENT:
For use in aerosol generators to kill House
Flies, Stable Flies, Blow Flies, Fruit Flies, Mosquitoes, Small Flying Moths, Fleas, Gnats, Wasps, Hornets, Boxelder Bugs, Bran Bugs, Earwigs, Ants, Ham & Cheese Mites, Cheese Skippers, Clover Mites, Flour Beetles, Foreign Grain Beetles, Granary Weevils, Rice Weevils, Saw-Toothed Grain Beetles, Spider Beetles, Cigarette Beetles, Drugstore Beetles, Angoumois Grain Moths, Chocolate Moths, Mediterranean Flour Moths, Indian Meal Moths, Tobacco Moths, Yellow Mealworms, Dark Mealworms, Grain Mites & Cadelles. Close all doors and windows and shut off ventilating systems. Apply as a fog or fine mist at a rate of 0.75 - 1.5 ounce per 1000 cubic feet of space. Direct spray towards ceiling in all directions and behind obstructions. Close off and vacate treated areas for at least 30 minutes and thoroughly ventilate before reoccupying.

CONTACT SPRAY:
TO KILL Cockroaches, Silverfish, Earwigs, Ants, Spiders, use a mechanical aerosol generator or a fogger. Apply as a spot & crack & crevice treatment at 0.75 gallon /1000 sq. ft. of surface area. Direct the spray into all cracks and crevices, behind all equipment, cupboards, obstructions or dark harborage areas, walls, doors, underneath sinks, behind pipes and in all places that harbor insects to provide maximum penetration and impingement on the insects. Contact as many insects as possible.

CONTACT AND SPACE SPRAY:
TO KILL Cockroaches, Silverfish, Earwigs, Ants, Spiders, use a mechanical aerosol generator or a fogger. First, apply as a spot & crack & crevice treatment at 0.75 gallon / 1000 sq. ft. of surface area. Direct the spray into all cracks and crevices, behind all equipment, cupboards, obstructions or dark harborage areas, walls, floors, underneath sinks, behind pipes and in all places that harbor insects to provide maximum penetration and impingement on the insects. Contact as many insects as possible. Then treat as a space spray. Apply at a rate of 0.75 to 1.5 fluid ounce /1000 cu. ft. of space. Close off and vacate treated areas for at least 30 minutes and thoroughly ventilate before reoccupying. Do not apply more than 1 time per day.

A food handling establishment is an area or place other than a private residence in which food is held, processed, prepared, and/or served. Non-food areas of food handling establishments include garbage rooms, lavatories, floor drains (to sewers), entries and vestibules, offices, locker rooms, machine rooms, boiler rooms, garages, mop closets, and storage (after canning or bottling). Food areas of food handling establishments include areas for receiving, serving, storage (dry, cold, frozen, raw), packaging (canning, bottling, wrapping, boxing), preparing (cleaning, slicing, cooking, grinding), edible waste storage, enclosed processing systems (mills, dairies, edible oils, syrups).

*Use sites not approved for automatic space spray systems.

Treatment of Food Storage in Bags:
To kill accessible adult stages of Angoumois Grain Moths, Cadelles, Cheese Mites, Chocolate Moths, Cigarette Beetles, Cockroaches, Flour Beetles, Flies, Fruit Flies, Gnats, Indian Meal Moths, Mediterranean Flour Moths, Mosquitoes, Saw-Toothed Grain Beetles, Silverfish, Foreign Grain Beetles, and other listed pests, apply as a space spray at a rate of 1.5 ounce /1000 cu. ft. of space. Fumigate or destroy infested stored products or treat by other effective methods using an approved product intended for this purpose. Direct application to food contact surfaces is prohibited.

Application to Bulk Post-Harvest Vegetables (Potato, Tomato, Pea, Sweet Potato), Fruits (Apple, Blackberry, Blueberry, Boysenberry, Cherry, Crabapple, Currant, Dewberry, Fig, Gooseberry, Grape, Guava, Loganberry, Mango, Muskmelon, Orange, Peach, Pear, Pineapple, Plum, Raspberry), Nuts (Almonds, Walnuts) and other Commodities (Copra and Peanut):

To kill accessible stages of Angoumois Grain Moths, Cadelles, Cheese Mites, Chocolate Moths, Cigarette Beetles, Cockroaches, Flour Beetles, Flies, Fruit Flies, Gnats, Indian Meal Moths, Mediterranean Flour Moths, Mosquitoes, Saw-Toothed Grain Beetles, Silverfish, Foreign Grain Beetles and other listed insects. Apply as a surface application at a rate of 15.0 ounces / 1000 sq. ft. Also spray walls, floors and other surfaces, storage and handling areas thoroughly, being especially careful to treat cracks, crevices and similar hiding places. Or apply as a space spray at a rate of 1.5 ounce / 1000 cu. ft. of space by directing spray toward the ceiling and upper corners of the area and behind any obstructions. Do not reapply within 7 days. Do not apply more than 10 times to sweet potatoes. Do not apply both surface and space sprays within the same 7-day period.

FOR CLOTHES MOTHS AND CARPET BEETLES: Clean and spray closets thoroughly to reach all hiding places. Clean and brush woolen articles. Repeat application every 30 days. When carpets are infested, spray both sides thoroughly. When spraying near fabrics, keep spray in constant motion, at least 36 inches away from fabrics. Spraying closer may cause stains.

FOR BED BUGS: Spray baseboards, moldings and floor boards. Spray mattresses and box springs. It will necessary to dismantle the bed completely, thoroughly spraying each part, including mattress and box springs. All baseboards and wall cracks about the bedroom should be thoroughly treated.

Pesticide Storage and Spill Procedures: Store product in its original container in a cool, dry place away from heat or open flame in an area that is inaccessible to children and animals. Avoid exposure to extreme temperatures. In case of spill or leakage, soak up with absorbent material such as sand, sawdust, earth, fuller's earth, etc. Dispose of with chemical waste.

Pesticide Disposal: Wastes resulting from the use of this product may be disposed of on site or at an approved waste disposal facility.

Container Disposal: Non-refillable container. Do not reuse or refill this container. Offer for recycling if available or reconditioning if appropriate, or puncture and dispose of in a sanitary landfill, or by other procedures approved by state and local authorities.
